Why Movemento

What shapes the work here

Inspection before commitment

We assess the watch and discuss the work before anything is agreed. No surprises on the invoice.

Written records kept

Every job produces a paper trail — timing data, parts notes, condition remarks — so future owners know the history.

One hand on the bench

Your watch is handled by one person throughout, not passed between technicians. Accountability stays clear.

Realistic timelines

Quoted turnarounds are honest. If something changes mid-job, we contact you before continuing.

Proper workshop tools

Timed movement checks, calibrated pressure testers, and watchmaker-grade lubricants — not improvised alternatives.

Plain-spoken updates

We explain what was found and what was done in language that doesn't require a watchmaking background to follow.

Ready to begin

Bring the watch in — or write to us first

Whether you have a quick question or a piece that needs careful thought, send us a note or call. We'll take it from there at whatever pace suits you.

Questions

Things people often ask

Do I need to book before bringing the watch in? +

A short message or call beforehand is appreciated so we can set aside bench time, but walk-ins are welcome during workshop hours. We'll carry out a brief assessment and let you know whether the work is within scope before anything is agreed.

How long will my watch be away? +

Turnaround depends on the service chosen. A cleaning tune-up is usually two days; a reseal takes one to two weeks. A full heirloom rebuild runs eight to twelve weeks because of the documentation involved. We'll confirm the estimate once we've looked at the piece.

What kinds of watches do you work on? +

We work on mechanical and automatic movements of most brands, and on quartz pieces that need cleaning or a seal refresh. Dress watches, diver watches, and vintage family pieces are all common. If you're unsure whether your watch fits, contact us and we'll give you an honest answer.

Are the quoted prices fixed? +

The published prices cover the standard scope of each service. If the inspection reveals additional work — a damaged wheel, a corroded seal that needs a special part — we'll explain the finding and provide an adjusted figure for your approval before proceeding.

What do I receive after an heirloom rebuild? +

A full written record of the movement's condition before and after service, photographs taken at key stages, a note on any parts renewed, and a presentation folder that travels with the watch. The idea is that whoever inherits the piece next also receives its documented history.

Can you send the watch back by post? +

Return by registered courier is possible for customers outside Ayutthaya. Packaging, insurance, and shipping costs are handled separately and agreed in advance. Collection from the workshop is the preferred option where convenient.
